Fernie Alpine Resort is located in the southeast corner of British Columbia and receives an average snowfall of 29 feet each year! Fernie is consistently voted as one of the top ski resorts in North America and is best known for its legendary powder.
Wake up and live your snow dream in Fernie with 140 runs, 5 alpine bowls and 30 feet of powder a year. Fernie offers world-class skiing and snowboarding with a number of trails that lead to virtually untouched alpine bowls. It also has numerous gladed areas for amazing deep-powder skiing and riding.
After your day on the slopes, check out the Griz Bar, a popular après-ski hangout since 1962, or head into the town of Fernie and enjoy one of the many great restaurants this authentic ski town has to offer!
New for the 2011-12 Ski Season
The spectacular new Polar Peak Lift will add onto the already incredible vertical at Fernie Alpine Resort, now giving the ski resort a whopping 3550 vertical feet of legendary snow fun! The Polar Peak lift is the only major new lift installation in the B.C. Rockies for this winter. The Polar Peak Lift adds an above-tree-line bowl-skiing experience with over 22 new runs and the incredible experience of skiing off the summit of Polar Peak, one of the highest peaks in the Lizard Range.
