The Fernie Mountain Market takes place at Rotary Park on Hwy #3 from 10am-2pm on selected 2015 Sundays (July 12, July 26, August 9 and August 23 / dates are subject to change). This event kicks off with live entertainment on Friday night. Start the show day with a pancake breakfast before you tour through rows and rows of a variety of cars and trucks on display. A tradition in the Columbia Valley since 2008, the Tour of the Arts brings together the artists, craftspeople and musicians of the community with local collectors and visitors to the Valley. New for 2015, the tour will be hosted in downtown Invermere at Pothole Park and the new Cenotaph Park. The tour hosts more than 25 participants displaying a wonderful variety of work.

Bull Riding in the Rockies
World professional bull riding, kid's mutton busting, rodeo clowns and mexican poker followed by an evening family dance. This event takes place on at the Invermere Curling Rink starting at 7 pm. A cowboy dinner is served from 5 to 6:45 pm
Wings Over the Rockies
May 4 to May 10, 2015
Wings takes place in Radium, Brisco, Edgewater, Windermere, Panorama, Fairmont and Canal Flats. Many different aspects of migration will be explored including the migration of waterfowl and songbirds and the seasonal movement of ungulates, carnivores, butterflies, bats, fish and even humans. The festival coincides with International Migratory Bird Day and will include hikes, river floats, workshops, presentations, children's activities, guest speakers, exhibits, food and more.

Heart of the Rockies Triathlon

The Heart of the Rockies Triathlon started over 30 years ago in 1983. The event started with 56 competitors and now hosts over 200 athletes. Every Labor Day Sunday from 12 noon to 4pm, the Lions Club of Fernie, British Columbia hosts the Lions Labor Day Demolition Derby in one big, wild smash-em-up celebration of summer. A great family event with admission prices of $10 per adult and children under 10 are free.
