Lake Windermere, one of the warmest lakes in the Kootenay Rockies, is a perfect place for sun worshippers and water babies. Swimming is a year-round activity at Panorama Mountain Village. See Hot Springs & Pools below for more information. Just down the hill from Panorama, a 15 minutes drive, is Invermere where you can enjoy two beaches - Kinsmen Beach or James Chabot Park.

Radium Swimming & Beaches
Soaking is a year-round activity in Radium Hot Springs at the Mineral Pools. See Hot Springs & Pools below for more information. Just south of Radium, a 15 minute's drive, is Invermere where you can enjoy two beaches - Kinsmen Beach or James Chabot Park.

Swimming & Beaches in Fernie
There are a variety of area swimming holes the locals and regular visitors recreate at. Choose from five lakes in the area ranging from small lakes with sandy beaches like Surveyor's, 30 minutes south of Fernie, or the larger Koocanusa Lake popular for swimming and watersports.
