Maps & Weather

Welcome to Warm Side of the Rockies! In the Kootenays we have the beauty of being on the western slope of the Canadian Rockies at a lower altitude, which serves up warmer temperatures and sunnier days than our neighbours to the east in Canmore, Lake Louise and Banff, Alberta. Warmer temperatures means you can enjoy a longer golf season, you can go for a swim and put your boat in the water in May. In the winter time it means weather systems that come across from the Pacific Coast and dump powder in our valley; hence our vacation rental properties are located in BC's Powder Highway.
