Being in business for over 25 years has helped us discover what most families want while vacationing in the Columbia Valley. All of our rentals have fully equipped kitchens which will help for meal planning. Most of our kids' lives revolve around food and when the next snack time or meal time is coming so fully equipped kitchens are definitely a plus when travelling with the offsprings. Dads (and moms) will also love that all our properties are equipped with private BBQs which will help keep the kitchen clean and almost mess free. Now, other than these already fabulous characteristics of our rentals, which ones are best for families looking for a good time in the Columbia Valley?
In Radium Hot Springs, The Peaks is the place to go if you are travelling with kids. Not only is it walking distance to Radium's main strip but it is also walking distance to the pump & jump bike park. Kids of all ages love this area. The complex itself features an outdoor heated pool (summer months) and it also has a kids play park onsite.
In Fairmont, families can stay in their very own private property. This not only helps with privacy and quiet time but there is lots of room for kids to run around and have fun. Plus, families can pair up as these tend to be large enough to accommodate more than one family under one roof. Get the cousins together and have a blast at the hot springs (which are only minutes away), on one of the many trails Fairmont has to offer or floating down the Columbia River in a tube.
Akiskinook Resort has to be one of the most family-friendly environment in the whole valley. Located in Windermere, families renting here will have full access to the recreational center with indoor pool. They will also have full access to the private beach, basketball court, kids' play park and tennis court.
Horsethief Lodge in the lower village of Panorama is not only central to all the resort has to offer but it is also affordable. There is lots of green space around the complex and by staying here families will have access to the onsite hot tubs and the Panorama Springs Pools. The pool area features a hot pool, a warm pool and a walk in cool pool with 2 water slides. Families will also be able to partake in other activities onsite such as bouncy castles, a climbing wall, Euro Bungy, mini golf, chairlift rides, etc.
The Heron Point and Lake Windermere Pointe condominium complexes in Invermere are both excellent options for family. Both complexes are walking distance to a beach and both have onsite outdoor heated pools (summer months). Both complexes also have hot tubs. If you want your kids to have some fun and meet some friends while they are here these condo complexes will definitely allow them that.
With so much to do here, families are sure to keep busy. Hiking/biking trails abound, hot springs, outdoor movies every Monday nights (July & August), beach parties every Thursday nights (July & August), bouncy castles, mini golf, Saturday morning farmer's market, rafting, horseback riding, and much more families are such to find a little bit of everything for everyone during their time with us.
