Panorama Mountain Village
Panorama is best known for it's 2,847 acres of skiable terrain but snow shoeing, tubing, heli skiing and a variety of alpine sports are popular as well. Summer activities abound with mountain biking, hiking, first-class golf at Greywolf Golf Course and kids summer programs. The Village boasts outstanding accommodations, a variety of restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. The Panorama Springs' Pools, open year round, and waterslides (open summer) are one of the largest mountainside pools in Canada. Panorama is the perfect combination of relaxation and recreation.
Discover authentic downhill mountain biking at Panorama Mountain Village. Renowned for single track trails with natural and man-made features, wide open cruisers and expert downhill terrain, there is a trail option for everyone. Enjoy high-speed chairlift access from the end of June to end of August. Cross country biking trails are also available in the Lake Lillian area and Greywolf areas.

The Panorama Nordic Centre, located in the lower village, (access from the lower parking lot) offers more than 20 km of groomed trails for classic and skate skiing, more than 4 km of snowshoe trails, and snowshoe tours. The trails take snowshoers along the scenic Toby Creek. Different routes are available with the 6.9 km loop out to the Hale Hut Warming Cabin making for an unforgettable afternoon in the mountains.
The award-winning 18-hole Greywolf Golf Course is situated in Panorama Mountain Village. Considered by Golf Digest to be one of the top 10 courses in Canada. Greywolf Golf Course offers power carts, club rentals, CPGA lessons and dining. Hikes & Walks
At Panorama Mountain Village your doorstep is the trail head. Enjoy everything from high mountain lookouts to creekside valley trails all offering varying degrees of difficulty and adventure. From paved pathways to expeditions through high alpine passes, hiking and trekking in the area is breathtaking.
Lake Windermere offers the widest variety of game fish in our selection of excursions. You can catch rainbow or cutthroat trout, char, kokanee, mountain whitefish, northern pikeminnow, and burbot. Lake Windermere is also one of the few lakes where bass fishing is allowed in this region. Explore this vast lake in search of breathtaking views or for that elusive big bass. Reel Axe Adventures are local fishing guides that offer half and full day trips onboard the "Sunny Manana" pontoon boat. Other fishable waterways popular for a variety of fish are: Columbia Lake, Columbia River (from shore or by boat) and Whiteswan Lake near Fairmont Hot Springs.
The Toby Creek runs through Panorama so whitewater rafting fun is at your doorstep! Experience the thrills of white water rafting with Kootenay River Runners. White water twists and turns of this Class I-III river makes for a great time for beginners or seasoned rafters.
The Invermere Airport is known to be one of the best mountain soaring and flying sites in the world. This area offers spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains, Glaciers, Mountain Lakes and the Columbia Wetlands. Take to the sky in a Cessna airplane, helicopter or even soar silently in a glider
Icefishing, for the most part, takes place on Lake Windermere. Fishing with Reel Axe Adventures is far from ho-hum; these guys are serious about maximizing your winter ice fishing adventure. With Reel Axe Adventures you have the choice of fishing the deep waters of Whiteswan Lake or you can cozy up in one of their "lux" ice fishing huts on Lake Windermere, BC. All of the ice fishing trips include your fishing equipment, a fire and grill to cook lunch, experienced guides and transportation (if needed). A 6-person ice fishing hut rental is $120 + $10 per rod rental + GST. You will be required to purchase your own BC fishing license – approx $20 for non-residents, $10 for residents (single day).
Hot Springs & Pools
Panorama Springs Pools, Canada's largest slopeside hot pools, is a great place to spend a summer day in the Upper Village. The kids will love the waterpark with two waterslides and a splash pad. The Toby Pool in the Lower Village is open year round. Pools are accessible to all guests of the Resort, that includes you too!
Toby Creek Adventures near Panorama Mountain Village offers ATV tours to suit all ages. With access to hundreds of kilometers of trails, these ATV adventures are perfect for beginners to experienced riders, even groups.
Swimming & Beaches
Swimming is a year-round activity at Panorama Mountain Village. See Hot Springs & Pools below for more information. Just down the hill from Panorama, a 15 minutes drive, is Invermere where you can enjoy two beaches - Kinsmen Beach or James Chabot Park.

RK Heliski, located at Panorama Mountain Village, 20 minutes from Invermere offers 1,500 square kms of incredible terrain in the spectacular Purcell Mountains, on the edge of the Bugaboo mountains. Their heli-ski/boarding tours are led by some of the world's best mountain guides accessing wide open alpine slopes, scenic glaciers and gladed forests dusted with annual snowfalls of up to 1,100 cm/36 feet. This location allows for easy helicopter access to the seamlessly unending glaciers and perfectly spaced treed runs… and all that glorious powder. Choose from single day or multi-day heli-ski trips, group trips, sightseeing and heli-fondue trips.
Lake Windermere offers tranquil bays for SUP (stand up paddleboards) or explore the Columbia River and wetlands between Invermere and Radium by canoe or kayak. Perhaps you are after a bit more "splash" and want to jet ski, wakeboard, waterski or tube. It's all here in Invermere and Windermere. The Lake Windermere Whiteway is a well-maintained skating loop from Windermere to Invermere which features fire pits and hockey rinks along the way. The best access for skating is at Kinsmen Beach in Invermere, Invermere Bay Condos and one at Windermere Beach. Kinsmen Beach access has heated public bathrooms and park benches, as well as shovels and fire pits. Skate rentals are available at Inside Edge, downtown Invermere or at Columbia Cycle, across from the A&W Restaurant.
